Dorothy Higgins, 74

She was born in Granite City, Illinois to Earl and Veda Bolin on November 29, 1948, and graduated from Madison High School. Dorothy married Larry Higgins on March 9, 1968, in Granite City. She worked as a Photo Technician at Walmart for 22 years. Dorothy attended Gibsonia Baptist Church where she served in the children’s ministry.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Larry, daughter Jennifer (Dan), son Stephen (Becky), sister Donna, grandchildren Grace, Nathaniel, and Matthew, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 2nd from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel, 3350 Mall Hill Dr.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 3rd, at 10 a.m. at Gibsonia Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Goheen officiating. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
