Charles Larken Woodall Jr, age 65, was born on February 2, 1958, and went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2023. Although born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Angela Perez Plath and the late Charles L. Woodall, he resided in Lakeland, Florida for most of his life and considered it home.

Charles proudly served 3 years (1976-1979) in the United States Army, earning a good conduct medal and a marksman qualification badge (rifle). His assignments included Florida and Alaska. Thereafter, he worked locally as a forklift operator and an armed security guard.

Fondly referred to as Larken by his family, he is survived by his mother, Angela P. Plath; daughters, Jessica Fredericks (Matthew) and Jenna Woody; grandchildren, Rosalind Fredericks, Eva Fredericks, and Henry Fredericks; siblings, Ibrey Woodall and Luke McDowell (Amy); stepsiblings, Matt Plath (Kathy) and Gary Plath; along with multiple loved nieces, nephews, and family friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles L. Woodall; siblings, Karla Woodall, and Robin Sterling; stepfather, Charles “Bud” Plath; stepsiblings, Mark Plath, and Lynda Mason.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 26, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. ET, followed by service at 1:00 p.m. ET at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Ave., Lakeland, FL 33801. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Oak Hill Burial Park, 4620 US Hwy 98 S., Lakeland, FL 33801.
