Chad Francis Dettling, 42

Chad Francis Dettling, 42, of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away on May 11, 2024, in Winter Haven, Florida. Chad was born on March 8, 1982, in Lakeland, Florida, to William (Bill) Dettling and Janelle Dettling.

He graduated from George Jenkins High School, Lakeland, Florida. Chad started working for United Parcel Service (UPS) in 2001 and continued to work there until his passing. He worked as a full-time delivery driver and started working out of the Lakeland center and then moved to the Davenport center for the remainder of his time.

Chad loved traveling with his wife and family. He enjoyed going to the beach, going on cruises, and staying in the Smoky Mountains. He loved sports, college football (Florida Gators and University of Michigan), hockey (Tampa Bay Lightning), and baseball (Atlanta Braves).

Chad is preceded in death by his father, William (Bill) Dettling.

He is survived by his wife, Tamara Dettling; stepdaughter, Annabelle Jones; mother, Janelle Dettling; siblings, Paul (Joy) Dettling, Perry (Vanessa) Dettling, Peter (Jennifer) Dettling, Angela (Eric) Sullivan; stepbrother, Gordon McLain, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Chad was a loving husband, stepfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend that will be missed greatly by all that knew him.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 10 a.m. with services following at 11 a.m. at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S Ingraham Ave, Lakeland, FL 33801.
