Brandon Matthew Taylor, 53

Brandon Taylor was born in Garden City, Michigan, and lived most of his life in Belleville, Michigan, before making Florida his home for the past 22 years. He passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Brandon is survived by his beloved wife, Shawna Taylor; his parents, Janet (McLaughlin) Taylor and Sam Taylor; his sisters, Samantha (Walt) Askew and Tiffany (Mike) Kilpatrick; and several nieces and nephews who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Brandon and Shawna shared 25 beautiful years of love, laughter, and memories together—a love that will remain in Shawna’s heart forever.

Brandon was a deeply creative soul with a passion for music, art, and bringing ideas to life. He spent many memorable years playing in bands throughout the Detroit area, writing and performing music, and even publishing his own CD. His creativity eventually led him to a career as a graphic designer, where his incredible eye for detail and unique artistic vision truly shined.

In recent years, Brandon poured his creativity and entrepreneurial spirit into designing and launching iCandy Energy, an energy drink that he was incredibly proud of. It was a project that brought together so many of the things he loved—creativity, design, and turning an idea into something real. Brandon took great pride in watching his vision come to life.

Those who knew Brandon best will remember him for so much more than his talents and accomplishments.

Brandon was one of the most humble and selfless people you could ever meet. He never needed to be in the spotlight. Instead, he had a remarkable way of celebrating the accomplishments and happiness of others while quietly keeping his own successes to himself. He genuinely wanted other people to shine.

He loved to laugh, loved to crack a joke, and almost always had a smile on his face. Brandon seemed to have zero enemies—everyone liked Brandon. He welcomed people into his life with an open heart and made them feel like they belonged. His kindness, humor, humility, and genuine love for people left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. And, of course, his beloved cat fur babies held a very special place in his heart.

Brandon will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the countless people whose lives he touched. His absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but his laughter, creativity, kindness, and love will live on in all of us.

We like to think Brandon is already hard at work planning the biggest homecoming celebration imaginable—complete with music, laughter, and, of course, laser lights. He just had to get to Heaven first so he could get everything set up for the rest of us.
