Barbara J. Sanders, 76, passed away April 15, 2024.

Barbara was born on September 25, 1947 to the late Paul and Frances Kingsley. She always enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening. Barbara also enjoyed cooking, but especially enjoyed her time spent with family. She was a member of Cleveland Heights Baptist Church for over 50 years.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Sanders; daughter, Carlina Wakefield; granddaughter, Rebecca Rappold; and sisters, Beverly Fletcher and Betty Jackson. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Barthle; sisters, Linda Osborne and Brenda Coker; grandchildren, Kenneth Barthle, Kevin Barthle, Jenna Young, Kristen Connor, Samantha Rappold and Addie Anderson.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 19th at 6 p.m. at Cleveland Heights Baptist Church, 3120 Cleveland Heights Blvd. Lakeland, FL 33803. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara’s honor to: Good Shepherd Hospice, Ronald McDonald Foundation or Folds of Honor.
