Lewis Wright was born August 30, 1938 in Brunson, S.C. to Jesse and Phoebe Canady-Wright. He reared in Brunson, S.C. and relocated to Lakeland, FL. where he worked for Florida Tile for over twenty years as a Sectionizer and Fabricator. He was a Freemason & a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lakeland, FL under Worshipful Master, Donald Tillman. He was also a member of New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church for many years.

He was also an ardent sports, especially the “Dallas Cowboys.”, and loved to watch Western Movies & TV. He loved people! He is preceded in death by 13 siblings, Sonny, Jethro, Isaiah, John Henry, Floyd Everett, William Wright, Rudolph Wright and Jesse Wright Jr., Ernest Wright, Pearlene, Christine and Randolph; his parents, and the others. He was called home on Saturday, August 5, 2020 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

Brother Lewis Wright leaves to cherish his memory a loving Family; his wife, Beverly A. Wright, Sons, Lewis Wright, Jr. “Man” (Sherry Wright) and Patrick Wright, (Shakeira Wright) ; Daughters, Katherine Denise Wright and Mary Louise Mitchell (Leon Mitchell), and Toni Annette Wright (deceased); Stepsons, Shawn R. Battle(Deceased) and Michael W. Sanders; step-daughters, Carolyn D. Mills (Teddy Mills); and Tracy L. Evans (deceased); a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins & dear friends.
