The world became a little brighter as it welcomed Kathryn Grace Miller Neal on April 29, 1945. The world lost a part of its shine when Kathy’s smile faded as she took her final breath after a battle with Alzheimer’s on September 5, 2021.
Kathy was born in Iowa, married in 1967, started a family and lived in Nebraska and Tennessee prior to her move to Florida. She was a member of the Church of Christ where she served as a deacon’s wife and church secretary.
Kathy was a vivacious reader with a Bachelor’s degree in English and an astounding understanding of grammar and vocabulary. Kathy had a variety of talents and used them through the years as a radio news broadcaster and executive assistant with a knack for fund raising. She enjoyed drama and music and was active in community theater productions. She loved having people in their home and had an infectious smile that lit up the room with a warm personality that made people feel important and loved.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Lauramay Miller, and her brother Gene Miller. Kathy is survived by her husband Dale Neal, children, Lorey Lundy of Broken Arrow, OK, Alyssa Turley of Lakeland, Florida, Krystal Crawford of West Plains, Missouri and Tim Neal of Naples, Florida, 18 remarkable grandchildren and 7 precious great-grandchildren, as well as her siblings, Joanne Speas of Tennessee and Terry Miller of Virginia.
Join us in spirit in remembering the life of Kathy as we have a small family celebration of her life on November 27, 2021. Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
