John “Johnny D” Denker, 66, passed away November 4, 2020.

John was born in Newark, New Jersey on April 13, 1954. He was a musician and most recently played with the band Dakota in New Jersey. John retired from Publix recently, and was also a retiree from the Department of Juvenile Justice.

John is survived by his wife, Bobbie Ritter-Denker; father, Joseph Denker; sister, Lorraine Nugent and her children, Brenda (Santo), Charlie (Tina) and Matthew; brother, Joseph Denker and his children, Joseph (Kelly) and Crissy; great nieces and nephews, Kate (Tom), Taylor (J.C.), Sydney, Tyler, Samantha and Marlee; brother in law, Johnny (Chrissy) and his daughter, Jessie; brother in law, Kevin (Jenn) and his children, Sandy and Mandy; Bobbie’s big sister, Lynne; John’s dog, Gibson; his Publix family; and his many extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted Monday, November 9th at 6:00 P.M. at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL 33801. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Watson Clinic Cancer Center Foundation.
