
Evelyn (Honey) Georg, 99, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2021 of natural causes. Honey was a resident of Florida Presbyterian Homes in Lakeland.
Honey was born in 1922 to Leadie and Zella Slick in Johnstown, PA. Honey married Jimmy Georg and they traveled for Jimmy’s work with the National Weather Service spending time in Puerto Rico. Eventually they settled in Lakeland. For many years they enjoyed traveling around the world.
Honey loved crafts and crafting, especially flower arrangements. Her welcoming smile let you know that she was eager to be friends. Honey loved making people happy and enjoyed participating as an active member of her church.
Honey was predeceased by her husband James and her brothers Robert and Edward Slick. She is survived by nieces Patti Anderson (Slick) of Pennsylvania and Linda Veach (Slick) of Michigan; nephews Robert Slick of Michigan and Micky Kay of Florida; and her godson David Wallis of Florida.
Honey will be buried in Johnstown, PA. A memorial service will take place at the Presbyterian Home after COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted. Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
