Ellen Jean Balsley went home to be with the Lord on August 4th, 2020 at the age of 86. She was a resident of Winter Haven, FL. She was the wife of Rev. Allen Balsley.

She is survived by her brother Clyde Creech Jr.; daughters, Angela Slomowitz (Marc), Connie Christiansen (Brian), and Kristi Scott (Thomas); son, Keith Balsley (Linda); 10 grandchildren, Scott Straub, Steve Straub, Benjamin Christiansen, Cassandra Bruner, Todd Balsley, Lauryn Balsley, Tyler Slomowitz, Brett Balsley, Grant Scott, and Jacob Scott; and 10
great-grandchildren.

She is originally Royalton, KY. She attended Grand Rapids Baptist Bible College in Grand Rapids, MI. She served as a pastor’s wife for 30 years at Broadview Baptist Church in Pompano Beach, FL and Shepherd Road Baptist Church in Mulberry, FL.
She was devoted to loving and caring for her family. She had the gift of hospitality. She loved creating a warm and comfortable environment for any and all guests in her home to share a meal and conversation. She never hesitated to reach out, love, and help those who were struggling physically, mentally, and spiritually. She was a faithful follower of Christ and was a witness for Him wherever she went.

There will be a celebration of life service to honor her and her husband on August 15th at 2 P.M. The service will be held at Faith Baptist Church (2140 Crystal Beach Road, Winter Haven, Fl. 33880). If you would like to send flowers, please send them to the church at the address above. All are welcome to come and help celebrate their lives and ministry.
