“Our goal is to raise awareness and ensure families have access to affordable — and in this case free — heart screenings so students are able to safely participate in sports without barriers or confusion surrounding the new requirement,” Sara Goodrich, Who We Play For heart screening director of Polk County, wrote in an email.
