Dolores Woods Fredrick, 91, of Lakeland, FL earned her wings on January 2, 2021 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Chicago, IL., the daughter of Roy and Margaret Shenk. She grew up in Mokena, IL and Wisconsin Rapids, WI. She married Hiram (Sam) Woods on October 5, 1947 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Together they had 5 children. Dolores worked at several jobs, however, she was mainly a stay-at-home Mom, which was the job she loved the most. They were married for 40 years until Sam’s sudden death in 1988.
Dolores married Earl Fredrick in 2003 in Fond du Lac, WI and they were married until his death.
In 2008, Dolores moved to Lakeland, FL where she remained the rest of her life.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, her only brother Roy Shenk, Jr, two sons, William Woods and Michael Woods, and granddaughter, April Woods-Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memory, sons Richard Woods of Milwaukee, WI, and John (Joyce) Woods of Fond du Lac, WI. One daughter, JoAnne (Jeff) Phyall of Lakeland, FL and grandchildren; Sherry (Mike) Braswell and Sarah Bobbitt both of Lakeland,FL; Michael (Dana) Woods of Renton, WA; Yvonne (Bill) Hunt of Colorado Springs, CO; Angie (Steve) Scohy of Mead, CO; Joshua Woods of Holmen, WI; Jeremiah (Michelle) Woods of Eau Claire, WI; Jennifer Woods of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Heather Woods and Shayna (Eddie Uttendorfer) Woods both of Fond du Lac, WI. She has 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandson.
