An environmental permit application shows a free-standing, 10,920-square-foot emergency room is planned on South Florida Avenue across from Merchants Walk, Tampa Bay Business Journal reports. The 1.71 acres between Pinellas Street and Eastway Drive have been purchased by Zack 1030 LLC of Nashville.
NOTE: An earlier version of this summary incorrectly indicated that the facility was associated with Lakeland Regional Health.

  1. I don’t think this building should cut the access to Florida Ave from Eastway should be removed as this serves as a cross between Cleveland Heights and Fl. Ave.and also has the street light. This would cut off access for emergency vehicles to get into this community from Fl. Ave which would make it a matter of life or death in this older community.. They need to put the exit either on Fl. Ave or on Robin Road that is less traveled.
