Florida Southern College has introduced a new costume for its mascot “Mocsie” that’s intended to look a little more “snakelike.” The new Mocsie, the sixth FSC costume since 1985, stands a few inches taller and was designed with a more intimidating look.

Public Schools Name Teachers of the Year
Polk County public schools have named 2015-2016 teachers and school-related employees of the year. The countywide winners will be named during an invitation-only ceremony at the Lakeland Center on Feb. 9.
