She had two sisters, Faye Winchell (Spouse Dan Winchell), and Barbara Ball (Spouse Dan Ball). Marilyn married David Campbell on October 27, 1972, and had one daughter Michelle Hanttula (Spouse Joe Hanttula).

Johnnie Victoria McDonald, 73, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023, after complications from surgery. She was born in Bath, North Carolina on August 13, 1949. She graduated from Richmond Memorial Hospital School of Nursing (now Bon Secours) in June of 1970 as an R.N. She worked at Lakeland Regional Hospital in oncology and later was a supervisor for a home health oncology team.
