Appliance Rebates Help Stretch Holiday Bargains

Between Black Friday deals and Christmas sales, shoppers have many opportunities to score great deals on new appliances. Lakeland Electric would like to sweeten any deals customers were able to take advantage of by reminding them that appliance rebates are still available.

At Lakeland Electric, ReEnergize Lakeland is an initiative that focuses on energy conservation. One of ReEnergize Lakeland’s focuses is energy efficiency. Lakeland Electric’s Appliance Rebate Program is offered under ReEnergize Lakeland to encourage residential customers to reduce energy usage and help lower electric bills. The program works like this:

Customers who purchase a qualifying Energy Star© appliance will receive money back if they fill out an application.
The application must be returned to Lakeland Electric with a copy of the proof-of-purchase receipt.
Once the application submittal is approved, the rebate will appear as a credit on the customer’s utility bill.

Customers can potentially earn between $40 to $300 through the program, which can be a welcomed relief with holiday shopping.

Customers can find a copy of the application here. As long as the purchase was made after Feb. 1, 2016, the Energy Star© appliance qualifies for the rebate.

This year, Lakeland Electric has added two new rebates that have not been offered in the past – clothes dryer and the water heater pump rebates. The complete list of rebates includes:
