Amazon has confirmed that the 700,000-square-foot warehouse it’s leasing at the Dragstrip Logistics Center, 8100 State Road 33, will be one of its last-mile delivery centers, the Tampa Bay Times reports. When the Amazon facility opens later this year — no date has been given yet — it will speed up shipping times in the Lakeland metro area and create several hundred jobs, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal in an article behind its paywall.
