Adelle Lindengren, 97, died in her home in Lakeland, Florida on August 17, 2022. She was born on August 25, 1924 in Niagara Falls, Canada to Rolla Dennis and Lillian Biller Dennis. Her father was a dairy inspector for the Canadian government and her mother was originally from Jersey Island, France.

Shortly after WWll ended, she met and married her husband Okee Lindengren who served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the war. During their honeymoon, they travelled to Sweden to visit relatives and toured the aftermath from the war in Europe. Upon their return home, they revived Okee’s car dealership, Central Garage, into the number 1 Packard dealership in Canada. Two of their 3 sons, Eric and Glen, were born in Niagara Falls. After a downturn in Okee’s health required them to move to a warmer climate, the family moved to Lakeland in 1959. Their 3rd son Gerald was born shortly after the move. The family attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lakeland for about 11 years and later, Carpenters Home Church and Victory Assembly of God, where Adelle was very active.
Adelle loved to travel and always had hilarious stories to tell. She enjoyed her life and family to the fullest and always had a positive outlook in every circumstance, including the temporary nature of this life and where she would spend eternity.

She was survived by 3 Sons, Eric (Ann), Glen (Georgia), Gerry, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on August 25th, 2022 at Gentry-Morrison funeral home at 1727 Bartow Rd., Lakeland, Florida. Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
