Lakeland area residents will need to follow the current one-day-per-week irrigation schedule until at least Oct. 1. Restrictions apply to all water sources, including private wells.

How to comply

  • Lawn watering is permitted only once a week on your assigned day, between midnight to 4 a.m. or 8 p.m. to midnight.
  • Car washing is allowed on your day only, with a shutoff nozzle.
  • Decorative fountains are limited to four hours per day.
  • Pressure washing is allowed in preparation for painting or sealing but not for aesthetic purposes.
  • Restaurants must serve water by request only.

Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFMD) put the Modified Phase III water restrictions into place in April. The restrictions were previously set to expire July 1. SWFMD extended its emergency water shortage order due to ongoing drought conditions.
