Junely, formerly known as June Taylor, a shop for “vintage lovers and home décor enthusiasts,” reopens at 11 a.m. today in Dixieland.

Previously located downtown, Junely starts a new life this morning at 1216 S. Florida Ave.

In a news release, the shop says it will “bring the nostalgic charm and distinctive style that has made it a favorite for shoppers near and far.”

The shop will offer everything from statement furniture, according to the release, “that can serve as the focal point of a room, to small treasures to add to your nightstand.”

It had been located in Dixieland before, eight years ago, at the same address, and before that as a vendor in The Shop Across the Street.

Now its new Dixieland neighbors will include the recently opened By The Chef Pizza, Bright Ice, and The Wine Garden, as well as the Dixieland staple, Cob & Pen.

“We’re excited to be back,” Kelly Riley, Junely’s co-owner, said in the release. “There’s a real vibrancy here — with vintage shops, new restaurants and so much creative energy. It feels like the perfect place to begin our next chapter.”

The news release also quotes Lakeland City Commissioner Stephanie Madden, who says, “Every day, when I sit at my ornate, leather-topped antique desk, I bask in the beauty of vintage treasures. My paintings need frames, and what would I do without my emerald green elephants? One is next to a comfy chair, and gives my guests a spot for their drink. The other holds a hand-painted chinoiserie bowl filled with orchids.

“These are treasures I purchased from June Taylor, now Junely. Dixieland shoppers, get ready to fall in love with this local gem, where you will find lovely, quirky, wonderful things for your home.”

Junely’s summer hours will be Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
