A Time to be born: Willie Mae Myles was born to the late John Walls and Eva Hytowan on July 20th, 1932 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. A Time to Live:  She attended school in Lake Charles, LA.  She met and married the late Walter Myles.  She was the mother of eight children; Gloria, Patricia, Rosa, Johnny, Tony, Jessie, Doretha, and George.  She worked for the Fox Fire Inn and Lakeland Regional Medical Center where she retired after 20 years. A Time of Service:  Willie Mae (Big Mama) started her Christian journey many years ago.  She was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church.  She also helped out the Community when she used to stay at Washington Park Homes.

A Time to Rest:  On Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 9:22 a.m. the Lord called her home.  She was preceded in death by her late husband,  Walter Myles;  her parents, John Walls and Eva Hytowan; daughters, Gloria Preston, Doretha McFarquchan & Patricia Pace; brother, John Henry Walls & her sister, Johnnie Mae Davis.

A Time to Cherish:  Willie Mae Myles leaves to cherish her memory; her daughter, Rosa Myles-Lester (Jerome), Tampa, FL.; four sons, Johnny Lee Myles (Mamie), Lakeland, FL, Tony Myles (Joyc), Decatur, GA), Jessie Myles, Lakeland, FL and George Taylor (Decatur, GA); Grand-kids, Annatha Facey, Machelle Pace, Lashonda Carson, Eric Pace, Tamika Abrams (Artis), Latoria Wilson, Ty, Zee, Tamill, Damoury, Shonda, Jarmesha, and a host of great grandkids (26 plus), 19 plus great grandkids, stepkids, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great-nephews.
