Susan Rebecca Upthegrove, 68, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026.

Susie was diagnosed with cancer following a nephrectomy in 2023. She chose to spend her remaining time at home with hospice care in late 2025.

She was the longtime partner of Anthony G. Earl and shared fifteen years of life, work, and companionship with him.

Susie was the founder of Legal Link Process Service, where she was respected for her reliability, professionalism, and sharp sense of humor. She was exceptionally kind, genuinely funny, and quietly strong—the sort of person who made difficult days easier just by being present.

She approached life with warmth and grace, valuing honesty, laughter, and the dignity of all. Her absence will be deeply felt by those who knew her personally and professionally.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Dana Booth and Betty (Greene) Booth.

She is survived by her son, Christopher R. Upthegrove; granddaughter, Annabelle Crawford; her brother, Robert (Miriam) Booth; her nephew, Austin Booth; her niece, Olivia (Michael) Stemke; grandnephew, Luca; grandniece, Naomi; life partner Anthony G. Earl, daughter, Ellen (Dakotah) Earl-Gillis; granddaughter, Austin; grandson, Nolan; and sons, Anthony J. (Mark) Earl and Cy A. Earl.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lakeland on Thursday, February 5, at 2:00 PM.

Flowers are accepted at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 210 W. Lemon St., Lakeland, FL 33803. Donations to the SPCA, in lieu of flowers, are very much appreciated.
