Helen Cecilia Kondolf, 95

Helen Cecilia Kondolf of Lakeland, Florida, died on October 15, 2026, at the age of 95. She was born February 14, 1931, in Rochester, New York. She began her career as a secretary before becoming a homemaker. In the 1970s, Helen and her husband, Karl, moved the family to Florida. Helen and her husband became entrepreneurs in their 50s when they started a local manufacturing company. She was a loyal member of Resurrection Catholic Church. Helen loved her gardens and tended to them daily. She cherished sunsets and would make time each evening to marvel at them. Helen and her husband spent a lifetime of summers on the shores of Lake Ontario enjoying nature and spending time with family. Above all, Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Karl, of 50 years. She is also predeceased by her sister, Mary Murphy (Rochester, NY) and by her great-grandchild, Kyren Collins (Lakeland, FL).

Helen is survived by her son, Karl Kondolf, Jr., and his wife, Jerry (Lakeland, FL); and her three daughters, Karen Kondolf and her husband, Michael Byerly (DeLand, FL); Kristine Kondolf and her husband, Glenn Gardner (Lakeland, FL); and Kathyrn Kondolf-Harmer and her husband, Michael Harmer (Lakeland, FL). She also has 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Resurrection Catholic Church on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 1:00pm, followed by a graveside service at Oak Hill Burial Park. Memorials may be made to the Society of the Sacred Heart at rscj.org/donate/.
