The home of Nguyen HOA Vuong Thi and Trinh Thang Quoc, at 1832 W. Lake Parker Dr., is the winner of the City’s August Residential Beautification award.

City Parks & Recreation’s Stacy Smith noted the home’s beautiful yard, at the Lakeland City Commission meeting Monday, when the beautification awards were presented.

“You can see the fruit trees peaking over the back fence,” Smith said approvingly, and he called attention to the Plumeria trees blooming in the home’s front yard, which faces Lake Parker.

Lakeland Parks & Recreation’s Stacy Smith, in presenting the award to Aida Palms, said, “They really do maintain their grounds.” Besides the prominent trees, Smith said he was grateful that the complex had planted hedges that attract butterflies.

“You’ve provided a wonderful alternative housing opportunity in our city,” Mayor Bill Mutz told the complex’s managers.
