Organizers always keep participating homes a secret until the day of the tour, but they say this year’s nine homes feature a variety of architectural styles.

Ken Watson — co-owner of Mosswood Manor, one of Lakeland’s oldest homes — revealed in February that the home will be part of the tour for the first time this Saturday.

The tour begins with check-in at Florida Southern College’s Frank Lloyd Wright Sharp Family Tourism and Education Center at 750 Frank Lloyd Wright Way.

Organizers estimate that the full tour will take around two hours to complete. They encourage participants to dress comfortably in walking shoes and to be prepared to remove shoes or wear booties in homes.

Visitors may walk between homes or ride shuttles provided by FSC from 11 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Shuttles will drop off at pre-determined locations, and some walking will be required between homes. Several homes also have stairs, so not all locations are ADA-accessible. Wheelchairs and strollers are not allowed in homes.

Residents of the Lake Morton Neighborhood volunteer their time to organize and facilitate the tour each year. At each location, homeowners and greeters will be available to answer questions.

All participants must sign a liability waiver at check-in. Animals are not allowed on the shuttle or in homes.
