Gandy Pool
Gandy Pool | David Dickey Jr.

Lakeland’s Gandy Pool has reopened, following a resurfacing project.

The heated pool, at 404 Imperial Blvd., features 10 lanes in a 25-yard length, with a 1-meter diving board and a 3-4-foot-deep recreation pool, as well as a handicap ramp and a hydraulic lift chair.

The city had projected the resurfacing work would take five months, from its start in early January until late May. Now it has completed the work in less than half that time.

The current hours are:

Lap Swim Mon.-Fri., 5:30 a.m.-7 p.m.

Open Swim Mon.-Fri., 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Lap and Open Swim Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

There are fees to use the pool, including $5 per visit or $40 for 20 visits, and other pass pricing for seniors, families, and more.

More information about Gandy Pool can be found on the pools page of the Lakeland Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Department.
