“Tigers fans from throughout the country ascend on Lakeland every year for Spring Training, and we look forward to making the 90th spring in TigerTown the best experience yet for the fans and players.”
Getting to a game
Spring Training single-game tickets can be purchased online, by calling 863-686-8075, or visiting the Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium ticket office in person.
Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium has been voted the best ballpark in the Grapefruit League. It boasts a 360-degree walkable concourse, an interactive children’s play area, all-inclusive indoor/outdoor seating, and more.
Visitors should allow extra time when traveling to the stadium this year due to ongoing construction in the area. Cashless parking is $15 for cars, $25 for RVs, and $30 for buses.
Citrus Connection’s TIGERTOWN Express provides fare free rides starting two hours before gametime from four locations in Lakeland to TigerTown for all home Detroit Tigers Spring Training games.

90 years of in Lakeland
The Detroit Tigers began training in Lakeland in 1934 at Henley Field at 1125 N. Florida Ave. — now home to the Florida Southern College Moccasins baseball team.
The Tigers have returned to Lakeland every spring since, with the exception of 1943 to 1945 when teams couldn’t make the trip all the way to Florida due to World War II travel restrictions. In 1966, they moved into Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium.
This year marks the team’s 61st consecutive season at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium and the 90th campaign at TigerTown in Lakeland, extending the longest current relationship between a Major League Baseball team and a Spring Training host city and the longest running sporting event in Polk County. In 2023, the Tigers extended their contract with the City of Lakeland until December 2044.
