New signs marking Lakeland neighborhoods are popping up in different parts of the city. The signs are designed to reflect the character of each neighborhood, according to Lynne Simpkins, who retired last week after 33 years as a Lakeland city planner.
FSC Planetarium Will Reopen After Current Restoration Concludes

“Toulouse-Lautrec & the Belle Époque,” the Polk Museum of Art’s largest exhibition to date, acquaints visitors with 19th century Paris and the life of post-Impressionist artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. With more than 215 works spanning three galleries, the exhibition opens to the public on Saturday.
FSC Introduces Rock Climbing Wall
Florida Southern College has joined a growing number of U.S. campuses offering a rock-climbing wall as a recreational amenity for students. FSC’s 22-foot wall at the Nina B. Hollis Wellness Center was introduced with a grand opening Jan. 26.
