An investigation that began when board members noticed financial discrepancies led to the arrest of the president and vice president of the Lakeland Highlands Babe Ruth Baseball League on charges of fraud and theft. Deputies say more than $50,000 from the organization was converted to personal use. The organization says on Facebook it’s cooperating with law enforcement and working to rebuild.
