Willa Belle Okes Dillard went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 21st. Willa was born March 3rd, 1940 in Raleigh County, WV to the late Clyde V. and Mary V. Epperly Okes of Cool Ridge, WV.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years and Love of her Life, Winford “Wink” Dillard, two daughters, Waynette Harris, and husband, Marlon Harris, of Blacksburg, Va, Wanda McKirahan, of Lakeland, Fl, one son, Waelon Dillard, of Lakeland, Fl, 8 grandchildren, Michael Harris and wife Jennifer of Az, Kierstin Harris of Va, Kyle Johnson and wife Danielle of Nc, Kevin McKirahan of Nc, Kimberly Harris and husband Dr. Andy of Oh, Matthew Harris and wife Lacey of Va, Madeline Harris of SC, and Megan Nelson of Nc, 14 great grandchildren, one sister, Sandra Peyton, of In, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and many friends. Preceding her in death are her parents, two infant sisters, one brother, Fred Okes and wife, Connie of WV, one son, Winford Dillard, and one grandson, Timothy Harris.
Willa had several careers over her lifetime but what she loved most was her family. Willa and Wink attend Lakes Church at Auburndale, are active with the Ladies Oriental Shrine, the Shriners, and Lakeland Corvette Club. They loved to travel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shriner’s Healthcare Center of Tampa, Florida.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 27th at Lakes Church, Auburndale.
Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
