City water crews are cleaning up Ariana Street in front of Dixieland Elementary School this afternoon after water spewed on the street when a digging crew hit a water main. Traffic is being detoured away from Ariana between New York and Dakota avenues; city officials say the detours could last into this evening.
The water main was hit by workers from Vasi and Associates Inc., who have been boring communication lines in Dixieland on behalf of Frontier Communications.
