Area donors contributed $9,081,997 to United Way of Central Florida in 2015, the largest amount ever raised in a year, campaign chair Kimberly Elmhorst announced at this morning’s annual meeting.
The 2013 campaign pulled in $9.03, and $8.8 was pledged in 2014, the organization said in a news release.

- Philanthropist of the Year: Carol and Barney Barnett
- George W. Jenkins Volunteer of the Year: Weymon Snuggs, COO of Citizens Bank and Trust and 2015-16 UWCF board chairman
- Citizen of the Year: John Fitzwater, retired publisher of The Ledger and past president of Community Foundation of Greater Lakeland.
- #GameChanger Award: David Robinson, CEO of DSM Technology.
- Employee Coordinator of the Year: Greta Dupuy of Publix Super Markets Inc.
- Outstanding Employee Coordinator Awards: Agency Partner – Lisa Brewer, Early Learning Coalition Polk; Small Company – William Lay, Kathleen Middle School; Medium Company – Amanda Hurles, Tiffani Gozdur, and Rachael Bennett, Citizens Bank and Trust; Large Company – Ronda Stutts, The Mosaic Company: Bartow Facility
- Best New Campaign: Nujack Development
- Summit Award: winners who ran model companies in the small, medium and large company categories went to ITW ProAp, Duke Energy and Lakeland Regional Health, respectfully
- Spirit of Central Florida Award: City of Winter Haven
