After last year’s Sun ’n Fun Aerospace Expo was cancelled because of Covid, more than 200,000 people are expected to attend this year’s event, which started Tuesday and continues through Sunday, News Channel 8 reports. Pandemic precautions are permissive: People must wear masks into buildings, but are free to remove them once inside. | Schedule | Tickets | Guide for families

Doesn’t make sense that people have to wear a mask to get IN to a building, then once inside they can take it off. That’s where the mask need to stay on, because you know that no one is going to adhere to social distancing. This will end up being a nightmare for Lakeland. These people will be spread out all into our community. Some may get sick here and take it back home to their own communities.
Maybe an event like this should require showing you Covid-19 Vaccination card. It would be good to be able to help track how many people attending have been vaccinated and see how many cases show up because of this event being so lax. This could help with knowing how the vaccines are working.
And, if there is no appreciable increase in COVID-19 in the local area, what might that indicate?
