The approval comes with the condition that teachers the state considers unsatisfactory be replaced with educators rated highly effective. The Board of Education approved plans for two other troubled Polk County schools and rejected two plans. (Kudos to The Ledger for sending reporter Madison Fantozzi to St. Augustine to cover the meeting, and kudos to the reporter for making the drive after working late the night before covering School Board elections.)
