Fencing placed in front of Lakeland’s favorite arch at Southgate Shopping Center marks the construction site of a new Starbucks coffee shop. The company plans to close the nearby store at Florida Avenue and Beacon Road. The construction zone next to Five Guys displaces roughly 100 parking spots. The building will occupy 2,515 square feet, according to a city permit.
