COVID-19 cases confirmed at several Polk high schools spiked in the last month, The Ledger reports. George Jenkins went from 27 cases reported between Sept. 6 and Dec. 26 to 56 by Jan. 16. Lakeland High went from 27 to 52 in the same period. Countywide, pediatric cases increased 25% in a similar timeframe. | Statewide school-by-school numbers
