Upcoming pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinics in Lakeland include one today from 3 to 7 p.m. at Bryant Stadium and one on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at the Cleveland Heights Golf Clubhouse. Both are open to the public, no appointments are necessary, and vaccines are free.
Today’s clinic at Bryant Stadium, 1125 N. Florida Ave. is co-sponsored by Polk County Public Schools and the Florida Department of Health.
The Pfizer vaccine will be available for people 12 and older; those younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available for people 18 and older.
Saturday’s clinic is co-sponsored by the Republican Club of Lakeland and the Florida Department of Health. It takes place in the Master’s Room of the Cleveland Heights Golf Course, 2900 Buckingham Ave.
All three vaccines will be available and booster shots for those that qualify, and nurses will be available to answer questions.
Republican Club of Lakeland President James Ring reminds residents that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said, “If you are fully vaccinated, the chance of you getting seriously ill or dying from covid is effectively zero…these vaccines are saving lives.”
