Rosa Helen Clemons Brown passed away on December 28, 2020 at the age of 80. She was born to the late Adolphus Goode Clemons and Lucy Jane Sheffield Clemons on Saturday, January 27, 1940 in Red Bay, Florida. Rosa is preceded in death by her sibling Brothers; Cleo, Lonnie & Aninious Clemons, Sisters; Viola, Nannie, Coreen & Jeanette; and Grandson, Shawn Straughter Jr.

At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and became a member of Mr. Olive A.M.E. Church in Red Bay, Florida. Rosa received her education in the Walton County School System. Rosa moved to Lakeland, Florida in 1984 and worked as a Food Service Nutritionist and later retired from the Polk County School System. After retirement she worked various Day Care & Adult Facilities as a cook.

Rosa joined Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Church in Lakeland, Florida in 1994 and faithfully served as a member of the Chancel Choir, member of the Claudia Waters Women’s Missionary Society where she encouraged her Missionary Sisters to work diligently in the feeding Ministry. Rosa served as President of the Stewardess & Culinary Ministries. Rosa was devoted to her family and church family and enjoyed cooking for the church, baking & working word puzzles. Every Sunday afternoon you would find her at home after church with Sunday dinner prepared for her family and anyone that would stop by. Rosa was a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan but loved looking at all sports.

Rosa leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 39 years, Willie C. Brown of Lakeland, FL; {1} Sister, Joyce Randolph, Defuniak Springs, FL ; Eight(8) Children: Verdell Clemons, Lakeland, FL, Joanne Clemons, Lakeland FL, Belinda Brown, Lakeland, FL., Sandra Jackson, Lakeland, FL., Gloria Jackson, Lakeland FL, Angela Moore, Lakeland FL, Victoria Daughtry (Dewayne} Highland City, FL., & Michelle Patterson (Earl) Lakeland, FL.; 15- Grandchildren, 35 Great-Grandchildren & 3 Great-Great Grandchildren; A special niece, Luetrishe Goode, Defuniak Springs, FL., Special nephews, Roosevelt Anderson (Peggy) Red Bay, Fl Hayward Clemons, Defuniak Springs FL. And a host of nieces & nephews and cousins.
