Robert A. Murray, 86

Deacon Robert Murray passed away on May 12th, 2021 at the age of 86.

Robert Murray was born in Mayo, Florida to his parents, Thomas W. Murray and Bertha Jones Murray. On May 12, 2021, his life’s victory continued when he was called by the Lord at Lakeland Regional Hospital. He was a truck driver for Cement Products as well as a devoted deacon at the City of Refuge Church of God in Christ. Robert was preceded in death by his sons, Robert Lee Murray, Pastor Thomas Murray, and Pernell Murray.

He leaves to cherish many memories his sons, Alvin (Krystal) Murray, Fred (Donna) Murray, Scott (Renee) Murray, Gordon (Nora) Murray, and Michael (LaTicia) Joseph ; his sisters, Margarite Jackson, Estell Jackson, Bessie Lee Massey, and Evangelist Carolyn Williams (Pastor Adrian); his brothers, Tom Murray, Isaiah Murray (Jewel), Frankie Lee Murray, Richard Murray (Shirley), and Eddie James Murray (Rhonda); and a host of grandchildren , great grands, cousins, nephews, nieces and sorrowing friends.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at City of Refuge Church of God in Christ (1105 North Ruth Avenue Lakeland, Florida 33805). There will be a Funeral Service immediately following. Condolences may be sent to the family at Oldham Funeral Home.
