MEDICAL POT: The city of Lakeland is redrafting its marijuana dispensaries regulations now that the state Legislature has said land-use rules can’t be stricter than those applied to pharmacies. The new rules could come up for a vote July 17.

TRANSIT HUB: A center for city buses, carpooling and soon-to-start Megabus service has opened on U.S. 98 near I-4 and named for former Mayor Gow Fields.

BUSINESS HUB: The Lakeland Chamber discusses its plans for a center housing multiple organizations that serve entrepreneurs, modeled on the National Entrepreneur Center in Orlando.

CALL HUB: Sykes Enterprises Inc. has moved 100 employees from Lake Parker Avenue into a new call center at 2525 Drane Field Road.
