  • LCS TRAFFIC: Several hundred cars a day leaving Lakeland Christian School endanger people and property as they travel neighborhood streets not built for that volume of traffic, residents told city commissioners Monday.   • BUILDING FEES: Polk County is raising the fees paid by developers for plan reviews, site inspections and traffic studies for the first time in 20 years. The fees, which will be phased in starting Oct. 1, are aimed at covering development costs; the impact will be $700 to $1,000 per lot, estimates Commissioner George Lindsey, a homebuilder.
