- COVID HELP: The city of Lakeland still has funds reserved for rent and utility assistance for lower–income families whose finances were affected by COVID-19, and Lakeland Electric is giving more time for customers to arrange payment plans for late utility bills | Lakeland CARE program | Lakeland Electric
- BALLOT: November’s election ballot will include three ballot issues placed by the Polk County Commission. One would renew business incentives approved in 2012; the other two are amendments to the county charter rejected by voters in 2018.
- PRESCHOOL: Alta Schoolhouse, a Montessori-style preschool, will be able to open in a renovated house at 220 Carleton St., city commissioners decided Monday. It is the third location attempted by Thomas and Madison Brawner.
