- NEW JUDGES: Two lawyers who filed to run for vacancies on the 10th Judicial Circuit bench will become judges after nobody else filed to run for the seats. They are Torea Spohr, a 38-year-old Lakeland criminal defense lawyer, and Cassandra Denmark, 54, of Lake Wales. Their elections bring to three the number of black judges among the 28 on the circuit bench.
