  • DISABILITIES: It will cost the city of Lakeland an estimated $45.5 million over 25 years to achieve compliance with American for Disabilities standards, city commissioners were told recently. Improvements will include adding sidewalk curb cuts and installing doors at city buildings that are easier to open.
