CHURCH MURAL: A new church wanting to send a different message led to four large murals depicting biblical scenes being painted over when the building that once housed Saint David’s Episcopal Church became Redemption Church. Local artist Rick Olivo spent around two months more than a dozen years ago creating the 9-by-12-foot murals that resembled stained glass.

DOWNTOWN VALET: Free valet parking downtown will be extended through 2020. Use of the program picked up dramatically after construction of the Heritage Plaza Parking Garage blocked access to adjacent on-street parking.
