CHICK-FIL-A: Restaurant franchisee Scott Brickhouse has rebuilt and expanded his South Florida Avenue location, adding mobile ordering, kiosks and additional drive-through lanes so that the 5,300-square-foot site can handle 350 customers per hour vs. 200 before. The updated operation opens Wednesday at 6 a.m.

FIRE: A lightning strike Monday ignited a fire that caused structural damage to the Lake Morton Historic District home of city planner Matt Lyons and family on Pennsylvania Avenue. People and pets were evacuated safely but the family is searching for a cat that ran away in the confusion.

S. FLORIDA AVE.: Be prepared for delays on South Florida Avenue around Palmetto and Walnut streets the week of June 23. The middle three (of five) lanes will be closed to repair sewer lines and manholes.

AIRPORT NOISE: Starting Wednesday, Draken International will test F-1 Mirage engines two to three times a week for eight weeks at its Lakeland Linder Airport facility. Each test will last about an hour and a half, with jet engine noise levels higher than normal, airport officials say. Tests will take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
