POWER PLANT: Lakeland Electric’s coal-burning McIntosh Unit 3, disabled since February but expected to come back online May 22, will be shut down by fall 2024, the utility said Monday. The city’s Utility Committee will be tasked with deciding how to replace the lost capacity.
