COACH ARRESTED: Laroni Gallishaw, head football coach at Tenoroc High School and a former NFL player, was arrested Friday on drug-possession charges; the school district plans to fire him.

COUNTY TAXES: A majority of county commissioners have scaled back a planned property tax increase from 50 cents per $1,000 in taxable value to 37.5 cents. They also plan to increase impact fees on new development from half of what the state allowed to the full amount.
