When an expected 12,500 doses of COVID-19 vaccines hadn’t arrived by Thursday, Polk health officials thought it would be next week before they saw them. Instead they were pleasantly surprised Friday when at least 7,000 weather-delayed doses were delivered, Fox 13 News reports.

  1. I’m 71 yrs. old and I’m the caregiver of a 72 years old 100% disabled vet who is at the end stage of renal disease (ESRD); he receives dialysis, is diabetic and has cardiovascular disease. He received his vaccine at the VA Hospital but I was not eligible to get it there. We live in Davenport, FL. Any idea when are we getting vaccines in this area? Manatee County is not the only one with a population of over 65’s!
