Pasquale Peter Scapellati, born July 11, 1927, passed on December 2, 2020 in Davenport, FL.

He was a good man who loved his wife dearly and wished only that she be cared for in his final hours. He survived the Great Depression and served his country in the U.S. Army, served his community of Deer Park, NY as a volunteer fireman, and served his family as “capo di tutti i capi”… He lived life “his way”, as one of his favorites, Frank Sinatra, would say. May his playful and strong-willed spirit remain with each of us eternally, in each moment we remember his zeal for life, his love for his family, and his self-reliant outlook.

Pasquale is survived by his devoted wife of 71 years, Mary, his loving children, Phyllis & Richard Sawyer, Gregory & Donna Scapellati, Carol & James DeAngelo, his adoring grandchildren, Rick & Casey Sawyer, Bryan & Julie Sawyer, Christopher Scapellati, Stephanie Scapellati & Stephanie DeGennaro, Blaise DeAngelo, Michelle & Dan Lamardo and RoseMarie DeAngelo, and his joyful great grandchildren, Brady, Olivia, Alexis, Dylan, Ella, and Kyle Sawyer.

May his memory be a blessing. Visitation will be held at 10 A.M. on Tuesday, December 8th at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes – Serenity Gardens Chapel, with a Funeral Service to follow at 11 A.M.

Condolences may be sent to the family at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes.
